2018 NFL Draft Preview

This year's top spot belongs to none other than the Cleveland Browns. The Giants, Jets, Browns (again) and the Broncos round out the top 5. Many expected the Browns to land either Sam Darnold or Josh Rosen at the top spot but a lot has changed over the last 24 hours. Now the expected top pick is the one and only Baker Mayfield out of Oklahoma. This guy has the arm, attitude and football smarts that are attracting many NFL teams. The Browns do not have a good history with draft picks, so there is always a possibility they could move the pick or take someone way off the radar.

Following the Browns, the likely picks are Saquon Barkley, (whoever the Browns don't take at quarterback) Josh Rosen, Sam Darnold, Josh Allen or Baker Mayfield. Also defensive end Bradley Chubb of NC State is in the mix.

The Minnesota Vikings have a first round selection this year, even though it is the 30th overall selection it is always nice to keep your high draft picks. Many experts predicted a defensive lineman following the lack of pressure the Vikings d-line could produce in the playoffs but after the big off-season signing of Sheldon Richardson experts are changing their minds. The likely pick are an offensive lineman or a defensive back. Two likely names that have been mentioned by several experts are Chanhassen's own Frank Ragnor, offensive lineman out of Arkansas. Also cornerback Mike Hughes out of Central Florida could very well be rocking the purple and gold by the end of the night. It should be interesting to see what Vikings General Manager, Rick Spielman can come up with this year.

The 2018 NFL Draft 1st round is set to start at 7pm central time on Thursday on the networks of FOX, ESPN and NFL Network. Rounds 2-3 will be held on the same channels on Friday at 7pm and rounds 4-7 will be held on ABC, ESPN and NFL Network at noon. The NFL draft is always a great time and this years will be no different, good luck to all your favorite teams out there!
