Chiefs Shock Patriots!

 The 2017 NFL season has officially begun. Many figured the New England Patriots Thursday Night matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs would be a walk in the park victory for the defending Super Bowl champions. The Chiefs had a different idea. 

Tom Brady opened up the game by missing a wide open Dwayne Allen 20 yards downfield and continued to miss here and there throughout the game. Kareem Hunt, the rookie running back for the Chiefs who was pushed into the starting role and wow did he shine! His first carry of his career was a forgettable one though. He had never fumbled in his career at Toledo with over 500 carries. On his first carry in the NFL, he did just that. He made up for it and much more with 148 yards rushing, 98 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns. He was not the only one who shined for the Chiefs. They were able to pick apart the Patriots defense with Tyreek Hill, and Alex Smith. Hill counted for 133 receiving yards and a score. His speed is unmatched in the NFL and he could be in for a big year. At the start of the game the Pats were able to move down field with ease on the highly skilled Chiefs defense, but it got harder as the game went along. Eric Berry had an outstanding game until he suffered a torn Achilles tendon in the 4th quarter. He will miss the remainder of the season and that is a huge loss for this team.

Both of these teams are very talented and look for them to be in the hunt for the Super Bowl as the season moves along.
