Kyrie Wants Out!

Kyrie Wants Out!

Kyrie Irving, notably one of the most skilled and offensively gifted guards in the NBA has reportedly requested a trade from the Cleveland Cavaliers via Brian Windhorst of ESPN. The 25 year old All-Star does not want to be the secondary option behind LeBron James and is seeking to be the focal point of a franchise. Kyrie is trying to control his future and does not see that happening if he stays in Cleveland (David Aldridge, Yahoo Sports). With only one year left on his current deal, anything can happen. This trade puts a lot of pressure of soon to be General Manager, Koby Altman. Do you want to risk letting him leave for free agency and getting nothing in return or do you trade him now for future assets. Tough decisions to be made in Cleveland in the time coming.

There were some teams Kyrie listed that he wouldn't mind going to; that list contains the likes of the New York Knicks, Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs and Minnesota Timberwolves per league sources. What news that would be to Timberwolves fans if they somehow landed the superstar guard just after trading for one of the league's best scorers in Jimmy Butler. If Cleveland does agree to trade Irving, they will want a lot in return. Keep an eye on Kyrie and the Cav's as the season approaches, who knows what could happen from here on out.
