Bartolo Colon or 'Big Sexy' as his fans like to call him has just recently been signed by the Minnesota Twins! This marks the 44 year old veteran's tenth Major League team. His first Major League appearance was all the way back on April 4, 1997 with the Cleveland Indians. July 18th, 2017 was his first start with the Twins against the New York Yankees at Target Field. He notably struck out Home Run Derby Champ Aaron Judge, but other than that his efforts were not enough to get the win. He pitched four innings, gave up four runs on eight hits, and had three strikeouts in a losing effort Tuesday night.

This gave Bartolo some thinking to do and is contemplating retirement if his next start is not any better. As he told ESPN, "This year things have gone very badly, and a lot of things come to mind, that maybe it's better to hang up my glove." His next scheduled start is Tuesday July 25th against the Los Angeles Dodgers. It should be a tough test and if it does not go well, it might be your last chance to watch the 'Big Sexy' in action.
