Minnesota United FC Inaugural Season Underway!
Welcome Minnesota's newest professional team! The Minnesota United Football Club has begun their first season in Major League Soccer. After opening the season with two tough losses at Portland and at home against fellow expansion brother Atlanta United, fans are still excited that professional soccer is back.
The Target brand has chosen to sponsor the Minnesota United squad with the Target logo on the front of the jersey. The sleek gray and light blue bring a new color kick to Minnesota Sports. The team is also awaiting a brand new stadium coming to St. Paul in 2018 that will cost nearly $150 million and will seat a little less then 20,000 people. It took at least four years for all previous expansion teams to reach the playoffs, will the Minnesota United change the history books?
