Sports Fan Store: The Vikings vs the Eagles
Based at the Mall of America, our sports fan store loves the Minnesota Vikings, so Sunday wasn’t the greatest day for us. The Vikings lost both their quarterback, Teddy Bridgewater, and their best running back, Adrian Peterson, to injury early in the season. Despite such a huge loss, the Vikings acquired Sam Bradford at the last minute and pulled together an indestructible defense. Under the no-nonsense direction of head coach Mike Zimmer, the Vikings entered a winning streak. However, the Philadelphia Eagles shut their winning streak down 21-10 at Lincoln Financial Field.
All Good Things Must Come to an End
Crushing the Vikings winning streak, the Philadelphia Eagles sacked quarterback Sam Bradford six times. Although their defense is considered one of the best in the NFL, the Vikings offense would benefit from some improvement. With two major injuries behind him in his NFL career, Sam Bradford is lucky that he remained uninjured after six sacks. With their record of season-ending injuries, losing Bradford to injury would be the icing on the cake for the Vikings.
As much as we hate to admit it, the Eagles played a great game on Sunday. After all, they were the first team this season to rise against the impressive Vikings defense. Despite their first loss of the season, the Vikings displayed impressive skills and technique. Perhaps this loss will remain a slight hiccup in an otherwise impressive season. We’ll find out when they play the Chicago Bears on Halloween. If dressing up in Halloween gear for the game isn’t really your thing, check out our Vikings team sports apparel.
