What's Next for the Twins?
It has been a strange season for the Minnesota Twins. After a playoff season last year, expectations were raised. Sano, Buxton, Dozier, and Rosario were all expected to do great things.
Every season is different;Twins players, fans and management are now all too familiar with it. Sano went from All Star to single A in less then a year. Buxton can't stay healthy for more then a few weeks. Dozier went from having back to back 30+ home runs season to batting low 200's with 16 homers 2/3rd's through the year. Rosario has been the lone bright spot for the Twins hitting over 300 with 19 homers so far this season.
The Twins sit 2nd in the division with a 48-56 record. Unfortunately the division is one of the leagues worst with the Royals, White Sox and Tigers all in rebuilding modes. The Twins pitching has again been some of the worst in baseball. The future of the franchise is in question and with all of these recent trades, some fans are wondering what is going on. Escobar, Pressly Zach Duke and most recently Lance Lynn have all been dealt in the last week and it does not seem as if the General Manager's are done just yet. With a bevy of prospects still in the farm system, management and fans are still optimistic. Let's hope are current stars such and Buxton, Sano and Dozier can get back on track.
