Wild Look to Stay Atop the West
The Minnesota Wild have been on a tyrant pace so far this season. After hiring Bruce Boudreau this past off-season the Wild have become one of the Cup favorites come postseason time. Right now the Wild sit atop the Western Conference standings with a 42-16-6 record totaling 90 points so far this season. The teams best start in franchise history. The Chicago Blackhawks are right behind them in the standings however and riding a seven game win streak, star forwards Jonathon Toews and Patrick Kane look to assert there dominance for the upcoming playoff push.
The Minnesota Wild are playing an all around game that is second to none. Strong defensive play, good goaltending, and speed up top has gotten it done this season. The second highest goal differential in the league is proof of that. Not to mention three players; Ryan Suter, Jared Spurgeon and Jason Zucker are all in the top five for plus/minus this season. Should be interesting to see what the Wild can accomplish come playoff time, but the future looks bright for this young franchise.
